Notice of Public Hearing Waiver - Bylaws No. 691 and No. 692

Notice is hereby given that the Board of the North Coast Regional District (NCRD) has waived the holding of public hearings for the following bylaws, pursuant to section 467 of the Local Government Act: 

Purpose

Bylaw No. 691, 2024 received first reading on April 19, 2024 and second reading on May 24, 2024. In general, the purpose of the proposed interim zoning amendment bylaw is to amend the Sandspit-Moresby Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 186, 1989 by:

  • Replacing Schedule A-1 of the Sandspit-Moresby Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 186, 1989 and amendments thereto with Schedule A-1 of Moresby Island 691, 2024; and
  • Removing references to "Section 18" in Schedule B of the Sandspit-Moresby Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 186, 1989 and replacing "Section 1" and references.

Bylaw No. 692, 2024 received first reading on May 24, 2024. In general, the purpose of the proposed interim zoning amendment bylaw is to amend the Graham Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 192, 1993 by:

  • Replacing Schedule A-1 of the Graham Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 192, 1993 and amendments thereto with Schedule A-1 of Graham Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 692, 2024; and
  • Removing reference to "Section 18" in Schedule B of the Graham Island Interim Zoning Bylaw 192, 1993 and replacing "Section 1" and references.

A copy of the Board resolutions waiving the public hearing and a copy of the proposed bylaws may be inspected at the offices of the North Coast Regional District, 14, 342, 3rd Avenue West, Prince Rupert, B.C. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, except statutory holidays.
