Local FireSmart Representative

The North Coast Regional District is in search of a knowledgeable individual to be a Local FireSmart Representative. The North Coast Regional District FireSmart team supports wildfire preparedness, prevention, and mitigation through public education, assessments, and mitigative work to reduce community risk from wildfires.

Reporting to the FireSmart Coordinator, the Local FireSmart Representative is responsible for supporting homeowners’ and neighbourhoods’ plans and implementing FireSmart initiatives. The Local FireSmart Representative has a central role in supporting community members in mitigating damage caused by wildfires.
