Notice of 2023 Permissive Tax Exemption Application

Under the provisions of Section 391 of the Local Government Act, the Board of the North Coast Regional District may, on or before October 31, exempt land, improvements or both, from electoral areas property taxes for the next calendar year subject to meeting certain requirements. In general, these requirements restrict exemption to non-profit organizations using the lands for specific non-profit purposes. Non-profit organizations leasing and occupying electoral area lands will be subject to assessment unless permissive taxation has been granted for the next calendar year.

The deadline to submit your application for exemption consideration for the 2024 taxation year is Tuesday, August 1, 2023 to the Treasurer at the address below or at treasurer@ncrdbc.com. An application form may be obtained at the Regional District office during regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or is available online at www.ncrdbc.com (click on Forms and F-009 Permissive Tax Exemption Application Form).
