Freedom of Information Guidelines

The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (the Act) helps promote good local government by balancing the following principles:

Freedom of Information (FOI): Whenever possible, information held by the North Coast Regional District should be available to the public.

Protection of Privacy: The North Coast Regional District should not improperly collect or disclose personal information.

Please see a List of Records Produced by the North Coast Regional District to help determine whether or not you need to submit an FOI request. If the information you are seeking is routinely available, it may be on our website, or you may request it by email by contacting the Corporate Officer at corporateofficer@ncrdbc.com

The North Coast Regional District is responsible for the delivery, administration and maintenance of basic services such as community water, refuse collection and disposal, land use planning and emergency preparedness, recreation and economic development services.
