Island Solid Waste & Regional Recyling Rates Revision
The North Coast Regional District (NCRD) under Bylaw No. 685.1, 2026 is proposing to amend Island Solid Waste (ISW) & Regional Recycling rates to maintain sustainable operations as required of Regional District services.
Due to the rising prices of fuel, hauling, and general costs of operation, the NCRD must seek options to offset costs within the ISW and Regional Recycling services. The below tables outline the incremental revisions to fees and rates within the respective services:

At this time, the NCRD has requested feedback from Commercial vendors on the proposed revisions to be brought back to the regular meeting of the NCRD Board on November 20, 2026. Residents may also submit feedback for Board consideration. If adopted, the proposed rates will take effect January 1, 2027.
