Derelict Vehicle Disposal for Sandspit Residents. REGISTER HERE
Do you have an old derelict vehicle in need of disposal? If yes, then the North Coast Regional District (NCRD) has an opportunity for you!
The NCRD, in partnership with Murray Kristoff Trucking Ltd., will be disposing of derelict vehicles that have accumulated within the community of Sandspit. This work is made possible using surplus budget funds from prior years that have been requisitioned in the community of Sandspit. As a result, disposal will be at no cost to the vehicle owner. This is a pilot program that the NCRD hopes to replicate for all of Haida Gwaii as funds become available.
How it works:
1. Click here to register your vehicle for pickup and disposal.
2. Sign the attestation to allow the NCRD to collect and dispose of your derelict vehicle.
3. If you have multiple vehicles, complete a registration for each vehicle.
4. Have your vehicle ready, easily accessible and free of any debris and liquids prior to pickup starting early September 2024 (tentative).
5. The NCRD will provide further community messaging once a date for pickups to take place is finalized.
If you are also aware of any abandoned derelict vehicles in the community, we would greatly appreciate if you can take the time to identify those through the same process above.
