Sandspit Transfer Station Closed for Loggers Sports Day

Sandspit Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday July 26, 2025 for the Annual Loggers Sports Day event.

The Annual Loggers Day Sports Day event is an all-day event in Sandspit featuring competition games and more. The annual event has been a part of the community for over 50-years, and this year will include games for all ages, prizes, food vendors, and a beer garden.

In light of this event, the Sandspit Transfer station located approximately 10km down Copper Bay Road will be closed. The transfer station will resume normal hours of operation after the event which are:

• Wednesdays from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
• Saturdays from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
